Linear Fordite over a solid Super Magnesium core. The Showstopper uses cross-sectional Fordite to show off the straight-grain layers, making the North and South points of the ring each have a totally unique crown feature. Due to the construction each Showstopper will have 2 totally unique and unrepeatable crown features. 2 one of a kind features on each ring!
Super Magnesium is a recently-declassified military aviation alloy that is 1/3rd lighter than aluminum while being far stronger. It has also been engineered specifically to be flame-retardant for obvious safety reasons. After a period of about a week of wear the metal will take on a very matte grey color.
Fordite is the widely-accepted term for the paint that collects and builds up on work surfaces in the paint bays of industrial car factories. Hundreds of layers of totally random colors create geological effects within the material.
The Fordite I use is literally 40 year old lump of car paint. These beautiful pieces are slightly delicate compared to other Black Badger rings. Be gentle and you’ll have no problems. Use them to open beer bottles and you’ll be unhappy.
Just to be safe I would not recommend the Showstopper as an everyday wear / wedding band. Especially if you are an army machine gunner or a professional walks-on-hands kinda dude.
